Shayne: Onboard the Seabourn Odyssey during return to service I, while conducting training with the restaurant team noticed a quiet and shy young lady. Upon realizing just how rosy in the cheeks she became during public speaking (and how cute it made her look), she became my target for any public speaking. (Which she obviously fell in love with me for doing).

A couple nights later once she had been released from her Covid induced imprisonment, we bumped into each other on deck and struck up a conversation, the conversation flowed and flowed, she was just so kind, genuine and sweet that I was smitten and put in place my evil plan to make her mine….

Nicola: We met on Seabourn Odyssey for the return to service. Never in my dreams did I think I could feel so embarrassed being chosen to publicly speak so much by this man during our team trainings. As embarrassed as I was when we were doing our introductions around the room, Shayne being Shayne of course made quite the impression making everyone laugh at his “I’m single remark” to the whole team which only made me feel even more nervous to stand up.

I was released from my two-week isolation and a few of us all gathered on deck 10, Sky Bar for some drinks to celebrate freedom. Shayne and I bumped into each other, and the conversation kept flowing and I remember feeling those butterflies in my stomach and hoping I wouldn’t say anything stupid but as the night went on, I knew with him I could be my absolute awkward self. He was a kind, funny, caring gentleman, which was new to me, and the rest is history.
